The Ramstein Flag 2024 exercise has begun with the arrival of fighter jets from the Air Forces of France, Italy, Sweden, and the U.S. in Greece. During the week of September 27, NATO Allied members started deploying their combat and transport aircraft to Andravida Air Base to carry out Exercise Ramstein Flag 2024.

The activity is led by Allied Air Command and organized by the Hellenic Air Force. It is designed to strengthen cooperation, interoperability, and integration among Allies. Air operations are controlled by NATO and the French Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS).

The fifth-generation F-35 fighter jets, flown by the United States Air Force along with approximately 130 allied aircraft, will facilitate the execution of the Joint Air Power component.
