Portugal rises to sixth place in the rankings

The Portuguese football team has risen to sixth place in the FIFA rankings, overtaking Belgium, in a list that continues to be led by world champions Argentina.

Since the last update, at the end of October, Portugal thrashed Poland at home (5-1) and drew at home against Croatia (1-1), in the last two matches of the Nations League group stage.

Portugal overtook Belgium, which has fallen sixth to eighth, being also overtaken by the Netherlands, with the top 5 remaining unchanged, with Argentina maintaining the lead, followed by France, and Spain, champion of Europe, while Germany re-entered the top 10, in exchange for Colombia, which fell two places, to 12th.

Among Portuguese-speaking countries, Brazil maintains fifth position, with Cape Verde remaining in 72nd place, Angola, under Pedro Gonçalves, falling to 85th and Mozambique rising to 98th. Guinea-Bissau, owned by Luís Boa Morte, is 120th, São Tomé and Príncipe rose to 189th place, Macau is 193rd and Timor-Leste is 196th.
