Italy: Low-income rate lower than EU’s

Rome: Italy’s proportion of earners on a low income is better than the EU’s at 8.8% to the bloc’s average of 14.7% as of 2022, Eurostat said Sunday.
Low-income workers are defined as those who earn two thirds less than the median hourly pay in their country of work.
Rates are higher among women and young people, Eurostat said.
