Italy celebrates women’s day with marches in 60 cities

Rome: Italy celebrated International Women’s Day on Saturday with marches in 60 cities, including a big one through the streets of Rome.

“We are beautiful, we are powerful and there are over 20,000 of us,” said activists from the Non Una Di Meno (Not One Less) association, which organized the Rome event, via megaphone as the march went past the Colosseum.
It is traditional for Italian men to give their partners a small bunch of mimosas on women’s day.
