Benazir Bhutto sacrificed life for democracy: Syed Zahid Abbas Shah Frankfurt: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Germany President Syed Zahid Abbas Shah has said that former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto laid down her life for the sake of democracy, In a message on her death anniversary – to be marked in December 27 – Zahid Abbas Shah said Benazir Bhutto represented the Pakistan that was beautiful and with immense potential for development and success.

She set the highest benchmark for politics of integrity and set great examples with struggles for democracy, the PPP leader said. In her book, “Daughter of the East” Shaheed BB wrote about her concern for her close associates on the occasion of her return to Pakistan, PPP Germany President said. Zahid Abbas Shah said the Germany chapter of the PPP would observe the death anniversary with great honour. He said the PPP workers and supporters will pay homage to the visionary Pakistani leader. “Benazir Bhutto remains in our hearts. She continues to live on. We will follow her teachings,” the PPP leader said.
