Beijing: China’s securities regulator said Friday the country has strengthened the financial support for the Belt and Road Initiative in 2019.

Six new Belt and Road bonds had been issued via the exchanges by the end of November 2019, raising 6.7 billion yuan (about 996 million U.S. dollars), according to the China Securities Regulatory Commission, China Economic Net reported.

China will further open the futures market and bonds market based on the measures on opening up China’s capital market announced in June 2019.
The capability of supervision and risk prevention will be further improved as China opens up the market, said the regulator.
