President directs MNAs to remain in close contacts with people

Islamabad; President Dr Arif Alvi has reiterated the resolve that the global challenge of coronavirus pandemic can only be addressed by adopting necessary precautionary measures.

In his letter to members of the National Assembly Friday, he said entire world is in the state of agitation and anxiety over the massive devastation carried out by the Covid-19.

The President directed the MNAs to remain in close contacts with the people living in their respective constituencies, share their agonies in the testing times and raise awareness among them about precautionary measures.

He also directed them to be in touch with doctors and paramedical staff and fulfill their genuine demands.

Dr Arif Alvi also urged the MNAs to provide ration to the poor labour class badly affected by lockdown due to Covid-19.

The President also asked the MNAs to play their role in effective implementation of 20-point Standard Operating Procedures in collaboration with district and mosques’ administrations to contain the virus.
