Chairman PPP condemns torture by police in KP

Islamabad: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has condemned in strongest possible words the inhuman torture on a citizen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the police and making the video of torture viral.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the responsibility of police is to protect the lives, properties and dignity of the people. Torturing after undressing a citizen is a criminal act. He said that the people who were protesting this unacceptable behaviour of the police were baton charged and teargas was also used against them which is also a shameful act.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that PTI has become a symbol of hate among the people of Pakistan and the government is trying to crush the hatred of people by force. The PTI government is trying to suppress the basic right of freedom of expression, Chairman PPP concluded.
