Islamabad: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will leave for Germany on Sunday at the invitation of his German counterpart.

According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, Qureshi is leaving for Germany on a three day visit, from April 11 to 13, at the invitation of the German Foreign Minister. He will hold delegation level talks with his German counterpart during the visit.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the two Foreign Ministers will review Pak-Germany relations during the talks, as well as discuss the fields of trade, investment, health, defense, education and tourism.

According to the spokesperson, this year Pakistan and Germany are celebrating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Germany is Pakistan’s largest trading partner in the European Union. There are more than 100,000 members of the Pakistani community in Germany. The German Foreign Minister visited Pakistan in March 2019.
