Balochistan govt orders provision of water to Gwadar, resolution of issues

Gwadar: The Balochistan provincial government has ordered provision of water and resolution of other issues in District Gwadar, a hub of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.
Chief Secretary Balochistan Mathar Niyaz Rana chaired a high level meeting regarding provision of water and other issues in District Gwadar.
The Chief Secretary directed participants of the meeting to ensure provision of clean drinking water immediately in Gwadar.
He directed to ensure supply of 200, 000 gallon water per day from Gwadar Port Water Plant. The Chief Secretary also approved the release of funds to ensure provision of water in Gwadar.
The development came ahead of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Gwadar on Monday (July 5) to review various development projects in the port city of Balochistan.
The PM was accompanied by federal and provincial officials during the visit and would get briefings on the progress of development projects in Gwadar.
PM Khan took part in the foundation-laying ceremony of various development projects in the city.
