Govt provides every support to stranded Pakistani nationals in Afghanistan: FO
Islamabad: Pakistan’s embassy in Kabul is in contact with the Pakistani nationals stranded in Afghanistan due to suspension of flights to Saudi Arabia.
This was stated by Foreign Office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri while responding to queries from media regarding Pakistanis stranded in Afghanistan.
He said besides making adequate arrangements for the repatriation of the stranded Pakistanis through Torkham, the Embassy has also made effective arrangements in terms of transport, food and cash grant to facilitate return of these Pakistani nationals to their homes.
The embassy has made arrangements for repatriation of around 4,000 Pakistanis who had been stranded there owing to closure of flights to Saudi Arabia.
The spokesperson said first group of Pakistani nationals was repatriated by road yesterday.
The stranded Pakistanis have appreciated efforts of the embassy and Pakistan’s Ambassador in Afghanistan.
