China Cultural Center in Pakistan launches snow and ice themed documentaries, exhibitions

Islamabad: China Cultural Center in Pakistan has launched snow and ice themed documentaries, exhibitions, online tourism promotion weeks of various regions and live broadcasts of well-known scenic spots on the center’s public platforms including WeChat and Facebook.

“Please follow the Facebook and WeChat of China Cultural Center in Pakistan and join us to start your Happy Journey of Snowflakes,” the Centre said in an announcement.

These events are aimed at showing Pakistani people as well as the netizens of the world the natural landscapes of ice and snow tourism, folk customs, gourmet food and Olympic ice and snow sports of seven provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) of Northern China.

These events incorporate the people’s winter life scenes, entertainment, sports and other content into them, showing China’s beautiful natural scenery, customs and delicacies, and experiencing the charm of winter ice and snow tourism in Northern China.

On February 4, 2022, Beijing will host the XXIV Winter Olympics. To celebrate this grand event, in the beginning of the new year, the 2022 “China Ice and Snow Tourism Overseas Promotion Season” has been launched globally under the guidance of the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, together with the Department of International Cooperation of the National Radio and Television Administration, and the Publicity Department of the General Administration of Sport of China.

The event is co-sponsored by The Network of International Culturalink Entities and the Culture and Tourism Departments (Bureaus) of Beijing, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

The event aims to comprehensively introduce ice and snow culture, ice and snow sports and ice and snow tourism in northern China to overseas people, and show the warm passions of the Chinese people to welcome the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
