Zardari greets Hindus on Holi

Islamabad: Former President Asif Ali Zardari Friday congratulated the Hindu community on the eve of Holi. Holi is a festival of peace, love and happiness, Zardari said.

Quaid-e-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto gave equal rights to non-Muslim citizens in the 1973 constitution. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto took concrete steps for religious freedom, he said.

“Pakistan Peoples Party will continue to defend the rights of non-Muslim citizens. The services of the Hindu community to the country are unforgettable,” he added.
