Imran Khan used National Security Council for his political benefits, claims Maryam Nawaz

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz Vice President Maryam Nawaz Tuesday claimed that Imran Khan has used National Security Council for his political benefits and involved the highest security institution to save his government.

She demanded that Prime Minister Imran Khan be punished for violating the Constitution of Pakistan.

She further said that this was not issue of the dissolution of the National Assembly but it was the issue of violation of the Constitution.

She made these remarks while speaking at a press conference in Lahore on Tuesday night.

Maryam Nawaz also demanded the security establishment to clarify its position over it.

Maryam Nawaz said Imran Khan talked about the letter a lot but did not show the letter to the people of Pakistan.

She claimed that Imran had transferred Pakistan’s Ambassador Asad Majeed Khan to Brussels to hide the facts. As Imran knew that his lie would be exposed when Asad Majeed Khan would be asked about the so-called letter.

She claimed that the letter was fake drama and there was no truth in it. She maintained that Imran Khan’s government has been toppled because of unbearable inflation, not because of any foreign conspiracy.

She questioned whether increase in prices of commodities, medicines and other things was carried out by the foreign countries.

She claimed that Imran dissolved the NA because he wanted to escape from investigation and arrest.

She said that the petitioners in the case being heard by the Supreme Court were not the Opposition parties and not PDM but in this matter the Constitution of Pakistan is itself petitioner before the apex court.

She observed that Imran Khan, President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi and National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri had committed the violation of the Constitution and its punishment is Article 6 suggesting death sentence for the accused.

Ms Maryam Nawaz maintained If today, Imran Khan and his cronies were escaped from punishment, so everyone in future will violate the constitution.

If the NA Speaker did not acknowledge the Constitution, so his ruling could not be accepted. “We are all custodians of the Constitution,” she added.
