PM takes action against opposition rather than banned outfits: Bilawal

Karachi : Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday said that he has been raising voice against proscribed organization since he joined politics. Addressing a news conference here, he said that Prime Minister Imran Khan does not take action against banned outfits but the opposition, adding that how would the government assure the opposition that action is being taken against the banned organisations. Bilawal said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won the general elections with the help of banned organisations. Why a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) is not constituted against the proscribed organisations, Bilawal asked and demanded to implement National Action Plan (NAP) in letter and spirit. The PPP chairman said that the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) law is black law and it was also failure of the PPP government not to amend the black law. Bilawal went on to say that the anti-graft watchdog shouldn’t be used for political engineering, adding that the anti-graft agency chairman should also hold his officials accountable. The PPP chairman asked the purpose behind taking suo motu notice of fake account case during election campaign, adding that injustice is being done against him. He said: “Free and fair trial is our right under Article 10 of the constitution.
