Evacuation of Pakistani nationals from Sudan begins, says Ambassador Behroz

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Sudan, Mir Behroz, announced on Sunday that the evacuation of Pakistani citizens from Sudan would begin that day.

The move comes after weeks of escalating violence in Sudan that has left many foreigners stranded in the country.

According to Ambassador Behroz, the embassy has a list of almost 800 Pakistanis who need to be evacuated from Sudan.

The biggest problem at the moment is arranging for transportation to the airport.

Passenger buses will be used to take the evacuees to the airport, but this presents logistical challenges given the current situation on the ground.

The Pakistani embassy has also been working with other countries to ensure the safe passage of its citizens out of Sudan.

Ships will be used to transport Pakistani passengers to Saudi Arabia, Egypt, or the nearest safe country.

Once they reach a safe location, the Pakistani nationals will be able to take a flight back to Pakistan.

Ambassador Behroz said that only one Pakistani girl was on the first evacuation flight, and she was associated with Saudi Airlines.

He assured the public that the embassy was doing everything possible to ensure the safe return of all Pakistani citizens in Sudan.

The violence in Sudan has been escalating since the military coup that took place earlier this month. Many foreigners, including Pakistanis, have been caught in the crossfire, and there have been reports of looting and other crimes.

The Pakistani embassy has urged all its citizens in Sudan to stay safe and follow the advice of the embassy.

They have also urged anyone who needs to be evacuated to contact the embassy as soon as possible.
