EU ambassador appreciates Gohar Ejaz’s vision and efforts

Brussels: European Union (EU) Ambassador to Pakistan Riina Kionka met here with Federal Minister for Trade and Industry Gohar Ejaz and appreciated his efforts and his vision.

EU Ambassador to Pakistan Riina Kionka congratulated him on taking charge of the position.

Gohar Ejaz appreciated the Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus (GSP+) trade concession given to Pakistan by the EU. He also mentioned his vision to take Pakistan’s global exports to $80 billion and said that the Trade Ministry is fully invested in developing a framework to mainly focus on strategic export markets and potential products.

EU is one of the largest export destinations for Pakistani businesses and the provision of the GSP+ scheme will help and support Pakistan.

EU Ambassador Riina appreciated Gohar Ejaz’s vision and assured full cooperation from the EU to help the Ministry of Commerce.
