Celebration of Kazakhstan Republic Day marks pledge to strengthen Pakistan-Kazakhstan friendship

Islamabad: The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Pakistan commemorated Kazakhstan’s Republic Day on Wednesday, with Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin expressing a commitment to enhancing the friendship between Pakistan and Kazakhstan.*
During the event, Ambassador Kistafin highlighted that Kazakhstan had achieved its independence three decades ago, emphasizing the nation’s keenness to bolster its ties with Pakistan.
He pointed out that Kazakhstan, a significant Central Asian nation, had made remarkable progress, attributing these accomplishments to the unwavering efforts of the Kazakh people to secure their independence and establish a distinctive identity.
Ambassador Kistafin stressed the high value placed by the people and government of Kazakhstan on their relations with their Pakistani counterparts, noting that last year marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, celebrated as a momentous occasion.
In his speech, Shahid Ashraf Tarar, the Caretaker Federal Minister of Railways, extended his congratulations to Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin, the Kazakh government, and its citizens on the occasion of Republic Day. He reciprocated this goodwill by underscoring the friendly ties between Pakistan and Kazakhstan and the need for close collaboration to promote peace and stability in the region.
An interesting part of the reception featured a Fashion Show and an Exhibition of Crafts. Ambassador Kistafin noted that this event provided a suitable platform for talented artists to showcase their work, which is an integral part of their activities and social responsibility.
The evening also featured a performance by a prominent Kazakh singer who sang the national anthem of Kazakhstan and captivated the audience with some beautiful songs.
